Ford offers for the models Mondeo, S-Max to and Galaxy a new and efficient entry-level diesel. The 1.6-liter engine delivers 85 kW / 115 hp and develops a maximum torque of 270 Newton meters. It makes for EU standard consumption of an average of 4.9 liters for the Mondeo and 5.2 liters for S-Max and Galaxy that have a start-stop system. Also new for spring, Ford offers the 2.2-liter diesel alternatively with Durashift-6-tronic automatic transmission to which also has a sports program.
The new diesel engine replaces the previous, the same 2.0-liter version. The torque of 270 Nm is constant at 1750-2500 revolutions per minute. In the new Ford Mondeo Econetic cut an additional aerodynamic package, which lowered suspension and low rolling resistance tires and the start-stop function of the average consumption even once for an additional 0.6 liters to 4.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The carbon dioxide emissions fall from 129 grams per kilometer to 114 g / km.
